Amit Nathani, MD

Amit Nathani, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in both sports medicine and shoulder surgery. He completed his fellowship at Stanford University, where he served as a team physician for the San Francisco 49ers.
Dr. Nathani treats injuries of the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee, along with general orthopaedics and fracture care. He performs both arthroscopic and open surgery, including shoulder replacement, and is trained in cartilage-restoring procedures that can help patients avoid joint replacement.
He has published peer-reviewed papers and textbook chapters on sports medicine injuries, with research spanning ACL injuries, running injuries, rotator cuff tears, and hip injuries, and has lectured internationally.
