Asher Kupperman, MD

Asher Kupperman, MD, is a specialist in hand and upper extremity surgery. Born at Cottage Hospital and raised in Santa Barbara, he is the son of two physicians and returned home to practice in the community that raised him.
He majored in molecular biophysics and biochemistry at Yale University and earned his medical degree at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Following orthopaedic surgery residency at UCLA, he completed fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, and also trained at Memorial Sloan Kettering and NewYork-Presbyterian / Weill Cornell.
He has treated professional athletes across the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL, as well as a Wimbledon tennis champion, a US Open golf champion, and internationally known artists and musicians.
