Eli Kupperman, MD, is a fellowship-trained sports and regenerative medicine specialist. He treats musculoskeletal conditions resulting from injury, overuse, and arthritis, and specializes in shoulder replacement as well as arthroscopic and minimally invasive techniques that shorten recovery and return patients to work and activity sooner.

Dr. Kupperman grew up in Santa Barbara. He graduated from Harvard University with a degree in mathematics and economics, rowing for the crew team, then earned his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania and completed his internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at UCLA.

He completed his sports medicine fellowship at the Andrews Institute under Dr. James Andrews, where he was awarded the Herodicus Society North American Travelling Fellowship. He is head team physician for Santa Ynez High School and a team physician for the Santa Barbara Foresters and UCSB.
